Marc, a longtime figure in Western New York, has served in Simcona’s top position for 12 years. He’s also a key force in the community, helping grow the success of the Rochester International Jazz Festival.

Marc has earned this Rochester Business Journal distinction several times, most recently being the 2021 RBJ Power 100. Throughout that period, his trademark has been leading through unprecedented times.
Starting in March 2020, the COVID-19 crisis disrupted supply chains and the availability of production materials for customers – and Simcona itself. As the electronic component shortage stretches well into 2023, Marc continues to address the residual effects on his own workforce:

Marc attributes some of his success to Simcona’s core tenet of favoring genuine partnerships with customers rather than transactional relationships.

Marc is also producer and executive director of the annual CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival. RIJF started in 2002 with an attendance of 15,000. It’s since grown from a small, local event to one that draws 250,000+ patrons yearly. Today, the festival involves:

An avid trumpeter himself, Marc continues to dedicate himself to building upon Rochester’s creative arts foundation and strengthening its economy.
Marc has been with Simcona since 1990. He’s spent decades working behind the scenes to turn Rochester into a destination. Before that, he earned a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in business administration and management.
