Control Panel Builder – Level 1
Job Summary: A Control Panel Builder - Level 1 is an entry-level position where you will be responsible for performing manufacturing activities that support the company’s production plans. You will work with continuous direction and oversight of an experienced Team Lead or Panel Builder.
Pay Range: $18 - $20.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in accordance with Simcona Workmanship Standards
- Assemble wires, cables and subassemblies
- Assemble electrical and mechanical parts
- Perform hardware tightness tests to specification with calibrated torque tools.
- Complete timecard and traveler logs on a daily basis
- Adhere to all production procedures to include health and safety regulations.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- Communicate with supervisors and co-workers. For example, communications may include questions of “how-to”, alerting others of potential quality issues, and any issues that would slow down production.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow rules that are published in the Simcona Employee Handbook
Experience & Education Required:
- High school diploma/GED with 0-24 months relative experience or equivalent.
- Technical degree a plus.
Knowledge & Skills - Required:
- Good at following directions
- Use hand tools like screwdrivers, wire strippers, and crimpers.
- Attention to details, focus, ability to concentrate
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Organized, neat and tidy
- Dependable, arrives to work on time and according to schedule

- Overtime may be required at times

The Control Panel Builder has limited access to Company confidential information but is frequently exposed to Customer specific product and production information in the course of executing his/her duties. Confidentiality is required.
Management Responsibility
The Level 1 Control Panel Builder is an individual contributor who operates under the direction of the Production Supervisor
Work Environment
Standard work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday except on company holidays (published each year).
While performing the duties of this job, must be able to see, grasp hold, walk, sit, reach, climb, bend, and stretch, lift up to 40 lbs. Will spend considerable time in the production environment where temperatures fluctuate, and noise is a constant factor in the work environment.
Dress Code
Simcona requires all production workers to wear steel-toed shoes. Simcona will offer a stipend to offset the cost. Long pants are required. Shorts and ripped shirts are not allowed. Clothing that could be offensive to others is not allowed.
Cell Phones
Cell phone use is prohibited on the production floor. Cell phones may be used during break times.
