Open Positions

Lead Electrical Controls Engineer

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000

Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Leadership – Provide day to day technical leadership for electrical engineers and designers, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency across projects.
    • Control System Design – Lead the design and development of electrical control systems based on customer specifications, selecting components and defining testing methods.
    • PLC & HMI Programming – Oversee development, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLC and HMI programs to ensure reliable automation performance.
    • Technical Problem-Solving – Drive resolution of complex technical challenges and establish scalable, long term solutions.
    • Compliance & Standards – Ensure all designs meet UL 508A, NEC, IEC, and internal engineering standards.
    • Mentorship & Development – Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback, technical guidance, and career development support.
    • Workload & Resource Planning – Assist in prioritization, delegation, and balancing of engineering resources across projects.
    • Design Reviews & Best Practices – Lead Design Reviews and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, templates, and standards.
    • Customer Collaboration – Act as a senior technical point of contact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver best in class solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

    • Expertise in Electrical Controls & Automation – Experience designing, programming, and implementing control systems for industrial applications.
    • PLC & HMI Proficiency – Hands-on experience with RSLogix, Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar platforms is a must.
    • Software Skills – Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or comparable design software, Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook; EPLAN experience is a plus.
    • Proven Leadership Experience - Experience leading engineers, mentoring team members, or managing technical teams.
    • Strong Troubleshooting & Technical Aptitude – Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues.
    • Self-Sufficient & Detail-Oriented – Works independently with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
    • Effective Communicator – Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional presence when working with customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Ownership Mindset - Takes accountability for team performance, project outcomes, and continuous improvement.
    • Ability To Balance Ledership & Technical Work - Comfortable remaining hands-on while leading others.
    • Limited Travel Requirement – Travel is minimal, only 10% of the time to remote job sites as needed.
