Operations Coordinator
Responsibilities & Duties:
Daily work and priorities will be determined by the Manager Planning & Scheduling in collaboration with the Simcona Manufacturing Services management team.
- Assist the operations management team is a primary responsibility of the Operations Coordinator and includes helping the professional staff with some or all of the following:
- Cost estimating.
- Purchasing
- Data collection.
- Data entry into DBA, AS400, and spreadsheets.
- Manage customer information.
- Help expedite orders and materials.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts.
- Help resolve issues that arise day-to-day.
- Support our Quality Management System.
- Assist the production team upon request, which may include some or all of the following:
- Help resource scheduling.
- Help with data collection and entry (timecards, defect reports, work order travelers, and more).
- Help with production builds.
- Help with receiving and shipping.
- Assist with data management upon request which may include some or all of the following:
- Help collect and enter data into ERP systems and spreadsheet.
- Help maintain data, file storage and retrieval, and organization of our data repositories.
- Collect data, organize, and distribute reports to various stakeholders.
- Expectations, the Operations Coordinator is expected to exhibit the following characteristics:
- Work across functional areas with people of varied backgrounds and demeaners.
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, suppliers, and customers.
- Participate in various meetings and assist with preparation and outcomes.
- Help prepare for customer visits and company events.
- Willing at times to put extra effort to help meet customer expectations and Simcona business goals.
- Additional duties and responsibilities will develop over time.
Qualifications & Skills
- The Operations Coordinator is expected to have or to develop the following skills:
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, File Explorer, SharePoint, MS Teams.
- Professional demeanor and behavior, appropriate for a professional office environment.
- Verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Well organized and able to multitask.
- A keen focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and at times with limited supervision.
- Exhibits a sense of urgency; performs tasks quickly, accurately, and effectively.
- Good analytical and math skills.
- The Operations Coordinator is expected to develop the following skills (with training arranged by Simcona):
- Ability to build an electrical control panel at Assembler II level
- Proficient with DBA (Manufacturing ERP), AS400 (Simcona ERP), and HubSpot (customer relationship management (CRM)), as used by Electrical Panel Manufacturing Services.
- Cost estimating as performed by Electrical Panel Manufacturing Services.
- Lean Manufacturing Yellow Belt
Pay Range: $22 - $24 / hour
